Home depot washing machine from GE - General Electric

This review has been resolved or replied to by this company.
bought a ge washer in July from home depot model ghwn4250d1ww,worst washer I ever owned doesnt get clothes clean for two reasons one it dont fill with enough water even on super size and agitates so slow barely moves cloths, another problem is strings from sweatshirts, pants, underware tank tops etc. get caught under agitator paddles and tangle the cloths up,just spent 15 min. unloading it, if paddles were atached at the bottom wouldnt have this problem tried to return it but they wouldnt because it was special order eventhough I purchased extended warranty.Would never recommend any GE washer to anyone, had on seen these comments before I bought a washer would of not got a GE,cant beleive GE hasnt solved these issues.sometimes blankets arnt even wet inside them.hope this helps someone before they make the same mistake I did,

I have same problems with my washer. I've loved G.E. washers for something like 40+ years, but this one I bought just before relocating to Austin a couple years ago. I begged my husband to shove it off into a ditch during the 75 mph drive to Austin. This washer is a piece of junk! One serviceman explained to me how experts have improved the machine. Have those "experts" ever done laundry? His explanation leads me to believe that this model is bad, not just my machine. My clothes don't wash. They sponge bathe. There is more water in a toilet flush. That's just one of the problems.

Disappointed I truly wish I had seen your post before I bought my piece of junk. I have had the same problems you have had with mine (same model washer) and more. Just had a $477 repair done yesterday and now today the washer is leaking water all over my floor and now I'm looking at 2 weeks before ge can get someone back out to look at it. This washer has not worked right since I got it. Worst purchase I have ever made. Take it from me, stay far away from a ge washer!

I purchased the same machine in October 2013, and I hate it. I have the same problems, doesn't fill up with enough water, even on the so called Super level, some clothes have dry spots on them when the wash is complete. I put detergent in, but when it starts to wash, it's like there's nothing in there but plain water. Once you start the machine, you can't change your mind about what cycle you're on without it throwing all the water out and starting over. That's real efficiency. Just give me my washer back that I had for 25+ years...I can't stand these new ones.
