GE refridgrerator not repaired properly - GE/Hotpoint side-by-side refrigerator, Model Number HSM25GFTSA


Our GE/Hotpoint refrigerator stopped making ice and dispensing water and frost was forming on the duct door. We had 2 GE repairmen out on several occasions.The replaced the icemaker, the fan motor, and the duct door assembly. On the final visit, by a GE technician who actually knew what he was doing, he said the other 2 repairmen had misdiagnosed the problem and we would need a brand new left door. We have already thrown away $723.04 on unnecessary repairs and all GE will offer us is $303.36 in the form of a refund or a credit toward a new GE refrigerator.We cam't even get Kristin, our GE Consumer Relations Representative, to return our phone calls. Very poor customer service support from GE.

GE Customer Relations is still dragging their feet on issuing us an additional refund on their misdiagnosis and subsequent theft of our hard earned money. This issue has been dragging on for 2 months. I am disinclined to ever buy another GE product and I could never forgive myself for recommending the purchase of GE products to anyone I care about.
