  • Hydro Wave Washing machine

I can not begin to tell you what a piece of junk this machine is. I am having all of the water level issues and the same clothes getting wrapped around the agitator problems. I am doing double the laundry because of the low water levels. Which means double the electricity I use and pay for. My water is free so that's not a problem. I am going up and down the basement steps twice as much and I have a bad knee and hip.The clothes do not spin all the way dry even on the extra rinse and spin option. Which means another trip up and down the steps to do a quick spin cycle after a regular... More...

  • poor hydrowave washer

Purchased washer 2 years ago--8 months after purchasing, had to have a repair man over due to spin cycle violently shaking the washer. Thought it did a beautiful job at first; but it can't be leveled properly or there is just something very wrong with the washer. Even if there is a small load; it does this each time. The appliance store salesman says there have been numerous complaints--we will have to purchase another washer because this is really getting on our nerves. We have always had GE appliances and never had a problem like this. We just need to spread the word to everyone... More...

  • Hydrowave washer

I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased my GE Hydro washer. I live in the Bahamas and therefore have no support services for my washer. This has been a nightmare us. The washer will not fill up with water and the clothes will not wash properly. Would I recommend GE again, definitely know. We lost hundreds of dollars on this purchase which included shipping and custom duty charges. We are so disappointed. More...

  • GE HydroWave washer - DO NOT BUY!

I bought a GE HydroWave washer (Model GTWN4250D1WS) on 10/3/13. I have had numerous sporadic odd things happen with it since I started using it. Same problems as all the other complaints/reviews. Not enough water, sluggish agitation, very wrinkled clothes, items getting wrapped around the agitator, not rinsing soup out of clothes (cycle complete & open lid and suds all over), requiring me to re-run the cycle to get rid of the suds (how is that energy efficient???). But the last straw was the other night I did a load of towels (twice to get rid of the suds) and water was all over my... More...

  • Shoddy GE Profile Microwave and French Door refrigerator

Do not purchase GE Profile Appliances under any circumstance. I purchased a GE Profile Microwave and French Door Refrigerator at the end of May 2009. In December 2011 the microwave stopped working--it was a defective magnetron. This happened right before Christmas and the repair person did not have the part prior to the holiday. I was without a microwave for the holidays with a house full of company. The repair person suggested I buy a small tabletop microwaveto carry me through the holidays. What audacity! The microwave was never fixed until Jan 2012. In December 2012 the microwave once... More...

  • MODEL GTWN2800D1WW JUNK

This washer is a piece of junk. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. I purchased it in July 2013 and have had many problems. Washer over flowed and had 3" water in the floor which caused damage to the floor. Then washer would not spin the clothes dry, had to run the spin cycle twice. Then the agitator blades broke and had to get replace. Now the water inlet valve needs to be replaced again. I have had several washers in a 25 year span and this has caused more problems in 6 months than all those combined. PIECE OF JUNK!!!!! More...

  • Washing Machine

WPRE8150K2WT - Worse washing machine I've used in 35 years! Was told by builder that it was an UPGRADE to what they normally put in new homes. 3 years of misery later and I still have a washer that doesn't touch the top part of the clothes because not enough water comes in the tub. You cannot add more as the washer won't work. So stupid, the washer turns in a circular motion and that's it. Clothes are left unclean, smelly, and stained with soap. I would get rid of it but don't have the cash as I would also have to replace the dryer to match it. The engineer who... More...

  • Bad GE washser

GE hydro wave-- Terrible! Doesn't fill w/ enough water. Also, If you wish to change water level after it has begun filling(ie adding more clothes) The thing shuts off, pumps out all of your new soapy water and runs... The pump continues to run for 10 minutes before you can restart. The agitation is so slow the powder type detergent doesn't even dissolve. Piece of crap!!! My wife wants me to get rid of it and get an older washer that works. More...

  • GE Poor performance of Adora Hydrowave washer

I currently own the Adora Hydrowave by GE and sorry to say, I am not happy with it. I feel as if I have to babysit it so that will rinse out. When we first bought the washer, with the matching dryer,we believed in the whole hydrowave theory. No problem there, but when it came to the point of the machine not rinsing out had me go to the blogs out in the www and realized this is a common problem. I thought I could deal with this, but no,I am not. This is the first time I have contacted GE as I did what others were told to do, such as press a button and hold it, unplug the machine then plug it... More...

  • GE Hydrowave Washer agitator breaking

Bought a GE Hydrowave washer in May of 2013, model GTWP2000F0WW. It's been a pain ever since. It does a decent job washing, not the best but for the price I can't expect more. The problem I have is the design and quality of the agitator. Instead of the agitator fins being solid all the way to the base they have a slit at the bottom of each. Early on this was just an irritation as clothing would slide into these slits and get caught (sleeves, buttons, drawstrings, whole garments of thinner material). Now less than a year in and the fins are all cracking. Every load brings it... More...

  • General Electric Washer Model # GTWN2800D1WW

Bought washer in November 2013. Has not worked correctly since purchase It doe not spin out clothes completely which leaves fabric sonfter in them sometimes. I am forced to re rinse and spin the load to get all water out of clothes. I can wring the water out by hand after the final spin of this machine. Four repairmen have been to my home since Dec 2013, to no avail. Last time was just here this week.Mach 5th 2014. He repeated to us, after contacting GE's tech support that this is a know issue, for which currently there is no fix I was also told by repairman that tech support has... More...

  • General Electric HydroWave Washer

This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. In May of 2012, I purchased a GE HydroWave washer model GTW4250DOWS. Within 30 days, the washer decided to start working. The second time it happen it was late at night, I knew there was a problem. Twice I sat at home waiting for the repair person who was a no show due to poor customer service. In all, there was 4 appointments and over 4 months to get the washer fixed by replacing the electronic board (by the way, you are not allowed to contact the repair person). October of 2013, the washer stopped working. This time it was because the wiring harness was not properly placed in the machine... More...

  • Do not buy GE HydroWave washer

I bought GE HydroWave washer model GHWN4250D0WW summer 2012. Right away I regretted my purchase. Regardless of what the manual says it simply doesn't add enough water or agitate properly to wash a load of clothes. Sometimes with what I would call an average to full load clothes on the top would still be dry in a crease. There is no way clothes are getting clean. So the whole time I have adjusted my load size to wash smaller loads so things would get clean thereby increasing my total number of loads and amount of water used. Great for environment huh!?! Over the last 2-3 months... More...

  • Adora Hydrowave Washer

I have to agree with the complaints on this washer. We originally bought the new HE "high efficiency???" washer and dryer. Washer wouldn't even get all the clothes wet, much less clean. Returned those and purchased what we thought was the solution...the GE Adora Hydrowave washer and dryer. First of all, the good news...no complaints whatsoever on the dryer. HOWEVER, the washer is a complete piece of garbage and a total waste of money. Does anyone else have to keep a 5 gallon bucket in their laundry room to complete the filling of their washer like we do. If we don't... More...

  • Schewels GE broken washing machine

I thought that we were getting a great deal on our washing machine from schewels. GE is supposed to be a very high quality product and stand up to high expectations. Needless to say it did not succeed. I bought the GTWN7450DWW (model #) washing machine and it BLEW UP! Literally I was in the kitchen doing dishes and my laundry room is beside the kitchen and it sounded like a bom went off! It shook my whole house and knocked a glass off the counter and broke it. When I checked the laundry room the ENTIRE drum came apart from the machine, the locked lid popped open and there were pieces huge... More...

  • The Washer is crap

This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. I just bought the G.E hydrowave washer,it worked good for about a week then quit. Called a tech out to fix and he tells me some B.S. about the back pressure filling up in the hose was making the washer not work. So i go and but new water hoses for the dub washer and its still not working. I always thought G.E was a good brand but apparently I was wrong. • G153

Purchased the G153 washer in 10/2012. This machine has been the worst washing machine since we purchased it, large loads and towels were soaking wet upon completion of the cycle, had to reduce load to four towels. Now machine sounds like it is "taking off", so loud and banging. What a piece of garbage; GE should be ashamed to have put its name on this machine and not be accountable for all of the complaints posted here. Most people don't have expendable money to purchase a new washer every year. Will never buy another GE product. More...

  • GE Hydrowave Washer CHEAPLY made

We bought a Hydrowave washer by GE at Home Depot about six months ago. This is model GTWP2000F0WW. We were very surprised at how well it cleaned, even though it doesn't use much water. It actually took about ten loads before I decided it was working right. It's a very good idea and system, HOWEVER it is very poorly made. The center spinning piece that has four "fins" on it, I think it's called the agitator, has four broken fins after only six months of use. They are very thin cheap plastic. First it was just one, and we thought we could live with that, and... More...

Very upset spent a descent amount of money on this washer to have our clothes ruined! There are what appears to be grease stains on my light colored clothing. • Home Depot - GE washing machine gets 2" water only

Model GTAP1800D1WW s/n MA113814P Purchased Oct 29, 2013 from Home Depot in Peterborough, ON Machine will not fill to proper level in any of the rinse cycles. It only gets about 2" water, then starts to agitate. Clothing gets caught between the bottom of the agitator fins and the base - a very poor design even if the rinse cycle worked! I called the 800-361-3400 number that Home Depot gave me since they refused to take it back - even though it is faulty upon purchase! I payed $448 plus tax - a considerable sum. The operator at the 800 number advised me that this is a "normal... More...

  • GE Hydrowave Washer G153

I thought I did my research before purchasing this washer a little more than one year ago. My husband and I knew that we wanted a simple, top loading machine that washed clothes well. This model seemed like a viable option in a sea of poorly reviewed and overly complicated HE models. Today, I am officially fed up with it (think Michael Douglas in the movie Falling Down)! I've just scheduled a repairman to come out to my house for the third time to complete warranty work. The problem I have is with the counterweight assembly, which is essentially a cinder block with bolts, coming loose... More...

  • High Efficiancy Rubbish

GE Hydrowave Washing Machine is rubbish. It doesn't afford enough water to properly clean and rinse the clothes even on the override settings where it appears to override your preferences and continue with the High Efficiancy. Clothes come out dirty and stiff where it won't add enough water to rinse, even with a drop of washing liquid. Quiet? Sure if you want to take the time to exactly make sure the clothes are precisely placed evenly around the agitator, and even then when it washes it redistributes the stuff and then you have clanging and banging. Hence, now I can no longer do... More...

I purchased a GE refriderator about 18 months ago and have had nothing but trouble. The crisper started freezing my produce, the ice cubes melt down and referee into a block, the crisper drawes break easily, the freezer gets all frosty, the compressor makes banging noises. These problems started immediately. Inhave had a repair person out multiple times. The GE customer service is so difficult to reach I have about given up. • Water Softner

This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. Have been working for over a year with several plumbers.... bought a new GE water softner, which "works"... but the water is un-useable. Tastes terrible, smells bad when heated. Local plumbers are stumped, suspect it is a flaw in the tank curing process. GE says...it must be the water. (we are on City water, in a condo, and no other condo has problems). GE Says.... we (GE) can't do anything. GE Says.... throw it out (ignore $750 spent on unit and service calls, and hassle) GE says..... buy a new one... GE says.... Tough Luck. Nice Response. More...

I am a G.E. employee and must say that I'm very embarrased by the quality of this piece of crap machine. it seems like once every two weeks we are pulling ruined clothing out of this machine. it looks like greese stains on light clothing. we have been using this machine for 2 years now like this because we can't afford to replace it with how much we paid for this piece of junk. we thought it was something we were doing at first but now that i've been reading bad reviews I realise that it is just a bad machine. • I hate this washer!

This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. We had a very old Maytag that was leaking from the bottom. We were told that it would cost more to fix it than replace it-so we did-with a GE Hydrowasher. Big, Big mistake. This washer doesn't fill enough to even cover the clothes, ties things in knots that result in pretty much permanent wrinkles, doesn't rinse out even the tiniest bit of laundry detergent that I was told to use, and takes so flipping long to wash a load even on light. They want to reduce the water used but offer a setting for a 2nd rinse? We made a huge mistake. So much for American made-it's junk and... More...

  • GE HYDROWAVE

Bought this washer only 2 .7 years ago.It sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. The agitator (if that is what you want to call it) has stopped moving so now swishing the clothes around and no spinning just fills up with water and then drains. My husband (who is a plumber) bypassed the magnet so that we could watch it do its stuff. I have never liked this washer from the moment I got it. I had a whirlpool washer for 10 years and had no problems with it.I am very unhappy with this washer and hate the idea that after only 2.7 years I have to buy another one. I can't wait to be free...
